How to edit your UGC Video



Overview

You can customize and edit subtitles in your UGC videos using the Predis.ai video editor. This article explains how to select subtitle styles, adjust positioning, and customize appearance for better readability and engagement.


Before You Begin

Make sure:

  • Your UGC video is already created in Predis.ai
  • You are inside the video editor


What cannot be edited in a generated UGC video:

  1. you cannot edit the avatar or use your custom avatar in generated UGC post.


What all you can edit in your generated UGC video?

  1. Creatives: Subtitle Styles (including spacing, fonts, positioning, background colours, text colours, animations)
  2. Captions: Generate captions by their relevance and length
  3. Hashtags: Generate brand relevant hashtags and add them to your UGC videos.
  4. Suggestions: Generate suggestions on captions, hashtags based on your Instagram page and it's content.



Steps to Edit Subtitles within Creatives tab.

Step 1: Open the Video Editor
  1. Log in to your Predis.ai account
  2. Open your UGC video in the content library
  3. Click to Edit


Step 2: Open Subtitles Panel


  1. In the left sidebar, click Subtitles
  2. The subtitle settings panel will appear





Step 3: Select Subtitle Style

Choose a subtitle style based on your video type:

  • Word – Highlights each word individually (recommended for UGC videos)
  • Line – Displays subtitles line by line
  • Line-Word – Combines word + line highlighting
  • Multiline Word – Displays structured multi-word subtitles
  • Multiline Line – Shows multiple lines at once
  • Multiline Seq Line – Displays subtitles in sequential multi-line format

📌 Note: The preview updates automatically when you select a style.


You can edit current style or opt for existing styles. There are plenty of editing options that you can use. Feel free to play around with different options.




Step 4: Adjust Subtitle Position
  1. Click the subtitle text in the preview window
  2. Drag and reposition it on the video canvas
  3. Ensure subtitles do not overlap with key visuals


Step 5: Customize Subtitle Styling


You can improve subtitle readability by adjusting:

  • Font style
  • Font size
  • Text color
  • Alignment
  • Highlight effects (if available)

Step 6: Preview Your Video
  1. Click Play Current or Play All Scenes
  2. Verify the following:
    • Subtitle timing accuracy
    • Text readability
    • Proper alignment with visuals


Step 7: Save Changes
  1. Click Save in the top-right corner
  2. Your subtitle edits will be applied to the video


Steps to edit captions:

  1. You can select the tone of the UGC avatar.
  2. You can select the length of the caption
  3. You can ask Predis AI to generate more captions based on your inputs.


Steps to edit hashtags:

  1. Generate Hashtags: You can select to generate hashtags by caption, creative, or some keyword of your choice. This will populate all different hashtags which you can add in your UGC video.
  2. Sort hashtags: You can sort hashtags by their relevancy & reach
  3. Reload Hashtags: you can reload the hashtags to see new set of hashtags being generated.

Generating Suggestions

You can use this option to generate suggestions based on your Instagram account. This will populate hashtags relevant to your Instagram page, it's products, and competitors.
