How to Use the Content Calendar on Predis.ai

Why Content Scheduling Matters

Consistency is one of the biggest factors in growing your social media presence. Posting regularly keeps your audience engaged, helps the algorithm surface your content, and builds brand trust over time. But doing this manually — logging into each platform, creating a post, hitting publish, and repeating it every day — is exhausting and unsustainable, especially if you manage multiple brands or social accounts.

That's where content scheduling comes in. When you plan and schedule your posts in advance, you can batch your content creation into focused sessions and let the system publish for you at the right time, on the right platform, without you lifting a finger. It frees you from the daily publishing grind and lets you focus on strategy, creativity, and actually running your business.

Predis.ai gives you two ways to schedule content:

  • Auto PostingPredis.ai automatically generates and publishes content for you on a set cadence. You define the rules, and the AI handles the rest.
  • Content Calendar — A visual calendar where you can manually schedule specific posts to go live on specific dates and times across your connected social media platforms. This gives you full control over exactly what goes out and when.

This article covers everything you need to know about the Content Calendar — how to access it, how to schedule posts, how to edit them, and how to get the most out of it.

Where to Find the Content Calendar

  • In the left sidebar, click on Content Calendar.

You'll see a full calendar view showing the current month, with any scheduled, published, failed, or in-review posts displayed on their respective dates.

Understanding the Calendar Layout

The Calendar Grid

The Content Calendar displays a standard calendar grid with days of the week across the top (Sunday through Saturday) and dates filling the rows. Each day's cell shows thumbnail previews of any posts scheduled for that date, along with:

  • Scheduled time — shown below each post thumbnail (e.g., 10:45 AM, 11:15 AM)
  • Platform icons — small icons indicating which social media platforms the post is scheduled to (e.g., Instagram, Google Business, YouTube)
  • Status indicator — a colored dot next to each post showing its current status

Post Status Colors

At the bottom of the calendar, you'll see a legend explaining what each colored dot means:

  • Blue dot — Scheduled: The post is queued and will be published at the scheduled time.
  • Red dot — Failed: The post failed to publish. This usually means the connected social account has an issue (expired token, permissions changed, or the content format isn't supported on that platform).
  • Green dot — Published: The post has been successfully published to all selected platforms.
  • Black dot — Rejected: The post was reviewed and rejected (relevant if you use team review workflows).
  • Olive/Dark dot — In Review: The post is pending review by a team member before it can be published.

Time Zone Display

Your time zone is shown at the top of the calendar, next to the month name (for example, (GMT +5:30) Asia/Kolkata). Predis.ai automatically detects your local time zone, so the times you see on the calendar match your local clock. Before scheduling any post, make sure the time zone displayed at the top of the calendar is correct. If it doesn't match your location, update your time zone in your account settings to avoid posts going out at the wrong time.

View Options

In the top-right corner of the calendar, you can switch between three views:

  • Today — Focuses on the current day's scheduled posts.
  • Weekly — Shows a single week at a time, useful when you're planning a week's content in detail.
  • Monthly — The default view. Shows the entire month at a glance, giving you a bird's-eye view of your content plan.

Use the left and right arrows next to the month name (e.g., < May 2026 >) to navigate to previous or future months.

How to Schedule a Post from the Content Calendar

Scheduling a post directly from the calendar is simple:

  1. Click on any whitespace (empty area) on the date you want to schedule the post for. The calendar header reminds you of this: "click on whitespace to schedule a post."
  2. Choose the post you want to schedule. You can select from posts you've already created in your Content Library.
  3. Select the social media platforms you want to publish the post on (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, X/Twitter).
  4. Set the time you want the post to go live.
  5. Confirm and schedule.

The post will now appear on the calendar on that date, with the scheduled time, platform icons, and a blue "Scheduled" status dot.

Important: Check Content Compatibility

Before scheduling, make sure the post format is supported on the platform you're publishing to. Not all content types work on all platforms. For example:

  • A vertical video (Reel) works on Instagram and TikTok but may not be supported on LinkedIn or X/Twitter in the same format.
  • A carousel post works on Instagram and LinkedIn but isn't available on YouTube or X/Twitter.
  • A story is specific to Instagram and Facebook Stories.

If you try to schedule an incompatible post to a platform, the post may fail to publish. Always ensure the content type matches the platform's requirements before scheduling.

How to Edit a Scheduled Post

Made a mistake? Need to change the caption, swap an image, or adjust the timing? You can edit any scheduled post directly from the calendar.

  1. Click on the post you want to edit in the Content Calendar. You'll see the post thumbnail with its scheduled time — click on it.
  2. Choose to edit the post. This opens the post editor where you can modify the content — change the caption, swap visuals, adjust hashtags, or update the scheduled time.
  3. Save your changes.

Once saved, the changes apply across all platforms the post was scheduled to be published on. You don't need to edit each platform separately — one edit updates everything.

What You Can Edit

  • Post caption / text
  • Images or video
  • Hashtags
  • Scheduled date and time
  • Target platforms (add or remove platforms)

What You Cannot Edit

  • Posts that have already been published (green dot) cannot be edited retroactively. The content is already live on the social platform. You would need to go to the social platform directly to modify or delete the live post.
  • Posts marked as failed (red dot) can be edited and rescheduled.

How to Reschedule a Post

To move a post to a different date or time:

  1. Click on the scheduled post in the calendar.
  2. Edit the scheduled date and/or time.
  3. Save the changes.

The post will move to its new date on the calendar automatically.

How to Delete a Scheduled Post

If you no longer want a scheduled post to go out:

  1. Click on the post in the calendar.
  2. Look for the delete or remove option.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

The post is removed from the schedule but remains in your Content Library — it's not permanently deleted, just unscheduled.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of the Content Calendar

Plan a week ahead

Instead of scheduling posts one at a time, use the Weekly view and plan your entire week in one session. This helps you spot gaps (days with no content) and avoid clustering (too many posts on one day).

Check the calendar every Monday

Make it a habit to review your calendar at the start of each week. Look for:

  • Any failed posts (red dots) that need to be rescheduled or fixed
  • Days with no content scheduled
  • Posts that are in review and need approval
  • Upcoming posts whose content may need updating (e.g., a post referencing an event that was cancelled)

Use the right time for each platform

Different platforms have different peak engagement times. When scheduling, consider when your audience is most active. As a general starting point:

  • Instagram: Late morning (10–11 AM) or early evening (7–8 PM)
  • LinkedIn: Weekday mornings (8–10 AM)
  • TikTok: Evening hours (6–9 PM)
  • Facebook: Mid-morning (9–11 AM)

These are general guidelines — your specific audience may differ. Check your platform analytics to find your optimal posting times.

Verify your time zone

This is worth repeating: always confirm that the time zone shown at the top of the calendar matches your actual location. If you travel or work with a team across time zones, a mismatch can cause posts to go out hours earlier or later than intended.

Review failed posts promptly

A red dot (failed) means the post didn't publish. Common reasons include:

  • Your social account connection has expired (you need to reconnect it in Brand & Social Accounts)
  • The content format isn't supported on the selected platform
  • The social platform's API was temporarily down

Click on the failed post, review the error, fix the issue, and reschedule.

Your Subscription and Credits

In the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, you can see your current plan details:

  • Plan name (e.g., Rise Plan)
  • Credits remaining (e.g., 1.83K / 3.7K)
  • Next billing date (e.g., May 13, 2026)
  • Buy more Credits button if you need additional credits before your next billing cycle

Scheduling and publishing posts from the Content Calendar uses credits from your plan. Keep an eye on your credit balance, especially if you schedule a large batch of posts at once.

Common Questions

Can I schedule a post for today?

Yes. Click on today's date in the calendar, select your post, and set a time that's still in the future. You can't schedule a post for a time that has already passed.

Can I schedule the same post to multiple platforms at once?

Yes. When scheduling a post, you can select multiple platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and the post will be published to all of them at the scheduled time. Just make sure the content format is compatible with each selected platform.

What happens if I schedule a post and then disconnect my social account?

The post will fail to publish and show a red "Failed" dot on the calendar. Reconnect your social account in Brand & Social Accounts, then reschedule the post.

Can I schedule posts months in advance?

Yes. Navigate to any future month using the arrow buttons next to the month name and schedule posts on any future date. This is useful for planning seasonal campaigns, product launches, or holiday content well in advance.

Do I need to keep Predis.ai open for scheduled posts to publish?

No. Once a post is scheduled, Predis.ai handles the publishing automatically in the background. You can close the browser, log out, or shut down your computer — your posts will still go out at the scheduled time.

Can multiple team members use the Content Calendar?

This depends on your plan. If your plan supports team collaboration, multiple team members can view the calendar, schedule posts, and review content. The "In Review" status (olive dot) is specifically designed for team workflows where posts need approval before publishing.

How do I fix a post that shows "Failed"?

Click on the failed post in the calendar to see the error details. Common fixes include reconnecting your social account, changing the content format to one supported by the target platform, or simply rescheduling if the failure was due to a temporary platform outage.

Can I drag and drop posts to different dates?

Yes, you can drag scheduled post to another date to schedule it again.
