Short Ad Videos are specialised Predis AI feature that allows users to create quick 8 second ads using their products directly from their e-commerce stores. These ads are also called as e-commerce product ads in common parlance.
Note: Short Ad Videos can be made only of 8 seconds.
Overview
Creating a Short Ad Video using a product URL allows users to quickly generate video content by extracting product information, images, and assets from a webpage. Users can choose whether to include characters or focus solely on the product.
Steps to Create a Short Ad Video Using Product URL
Step1: Access the Video Creation Tool
- Navigate to Create New from the left-hand menu.
- Select Product Ad Video option.

Step 2: Choose Your Short Video Type
After clicking Short Video, you'll see two options:
- Quick Ad – Create a simple animated video with background music in 8–15 seconds. Best for quick and easy product ads.
- Engaging Ad – Create a cinematic AI-powered video with voiceover, subtitles, and enhanced animations, up to 15 seconds long.
Select the option that best suits your needs, then click Create to continue.

Step 3: Choose Enter Product URL
- From the three Short Ad Video creation options, choose Enter Product URL.

Step 4: Enter Product URL
- On the next screen, input the product URL and click Analyze URL.

Step 5: Verify Product Description
The system fetches the product description and associated assets automatically.
Product Description:
- You can also enter your custom product description which Predis AI can use to generate your content. (Product description in Short Ad Video can act as prompt to create your content.)
- Users can edit the product description and add additional information as needed.
Pricing:
- You can enter Product original price and your offer price which will be displayed on your generated content.
- This is an optional requirement. It serves well for creating promotional offer ads for products.
Special Instructions
- This is where you can tell Predis AI your special instructions which will be focus of your ad creative. For example, if you want to create ad set focusing on your promotional price then let Predis AI know this by giving it a special instruction.
Assets:
- All images fetched from the product URL appear in the Assets section. Additional images can be added using the + icon.
- However, only upto 5 images can be selected for creating a Short Ad Video.
- Click Continue to proceed.

Step 6: Select Video Style
This section allows you to configure your short ad video.
Aspect Ratio:
You can select the aspect ratio based on where you plan to publish the video:
- 9:16 – Best suited for mobile-first platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Stories. This is a vertical format.
- 16:9 – Best suited for landscape platforms like YouTube, websites, and presentations. This is a horizontal format.
Ad Concepts:
- Choose the creative direction for your product ad. You can select up to 3 available ad directions. Custom ad concepts cannot be added.
- Select one ad concept for the short ad video based on your preference, then click Continue.
Brand Setting:
- You can also ensure your brand settings are fine tuned so that Predis AI creates content based on your brand specifications.

Step 7: Summary of Video
The Summary section also displays the estimated credit usage, helping you understand how many credits will be consumed before creating the video. Each Short Ad Video uses approximately 375 credits. However, actual credits used may differ depending on your creation.
